PINK-lets

Where-oh- where have these little pink piglets gone? That's a rhetorical question, guys, so please don't feel compelled to answer. Sadly, I know where they've gone. After all, I live in a part of Italy that is all about PORK!!
Nevertheless, these darling little piglets showed up in a pen in the front yard of a nearby house recently, and for days and days and days, they made me smile. I grew up in Suburbia, USA, so piglets in the front yard are a novel sight for me. Each time we drove by, I'd insist that Bill stop the car so I could get a really good look at the little oinkers. If they were not in the yard, we'd just call and they would come waddling out of their pen, oinking and squealing, expecting to be fed. We had a few scares, when we called and they didn't come out......but then the next day, they'd be there again, climbing all over each other to get to the food trough. But last week.......there were a bunch of turkey chick-lets in the piglets' pen.
Now even a suburban kid knows that piglets are WAY cuter than turkey chicks.......and I am very sad that the piglets have gone missing. They were just so pink!!!

  4. Some of us turn anything cute, or that we perceive as cute into pets. We would all starve if it were left up to people like me.
However, my uncle once raised a few pigs, and some of them were not so nice. One was a great big guy and mean. My uncle had to take a strap with him when he entered the pen because of the nasty temperament of the hog.
